Source
Tana
(2018)
ARAMARA is an electronic music album going from raging beats to abstract and dark spaces. Started in France and finished in Mexico, it is telling the story of a person lost in time and space, looking for familiar things to hold on to in life, always going deeper in its search.

That can't be good, Respect and Cold
Toomuchofthat
(2011/2012)
That can't be good, Respect and Cold are a trilogy.
All three are improvised, exploring different directions.
That can't be good is energetic, noisy but with rhythm, twisted and all over the place.
Respect is slower, more noise, dark and focused.
Cold is even slower, telling a long journée into the woods, quiet, introspective.
This Is The Soundtrack
Tana
(2017)
With touches of IDM, 80s synth pop with dramatic melodies, metal, jazzy drums, progressive rock, akousmatic music, This Is The Soundtrack finds its continuity in the never-ending dialogue between two worlds: clean and dirty, synthetic and natural, electroacoustic and melodic/rhythmic. In the end, body and mind are two sides of the same coin. As we accept this duality, we find ourselves closing our eyes, diving into the darkness to shine our light upon an entire world. This is the soundtrack, close your eyes and shoot the movie.

Bestiaire
Tana
(2016)
Bestiaire is an I.D.M. album that explores memories looking for inner beasts, letting them sing, telling their stories. Although very synthetic, it's very melancolic and sensitive. GET IT HERE
Electroacoustic Works
Tana Barbier
(2009/2014)
ElectroAcoustic music is a journey. It is meant to be the soundtrack of a personnal exploration occuring while listening with eyes closed. Images flow, appear and vanish, but the music is in the storytelling. GET IT HERE
Thinking Out Loud
Toomuchofthat
(2016)
Toomuchofthat is an alter ego letting music flow out without overthinking it. Instead of going into details for months the idea is to be true to the original inspiration. It is raw, goes from abstract to almost danceable, like a noisy rant against noise.
BLOK is a 10-track electronic music album, composed in 2013.
As well as being a formal work on short format, almost kind of pop in this aspect, blok is also a personal adventure and an exploration of the synthetic side of sound. Playing with frustration, the main objective of all the compositions is to seek for simple emotions.
Time, space and matter exist here in their simplest forms, written tightly to create a journey.
Rhythm is a way for the body to forget about itself and let the unconscious flow out.

Cine Tangente
Tana Barbier
(2013)
Cine Tangente is improvised music made only with sounds taken from movies. It is a personnal exploration of a movie's sound universe. Here are two pieces: Post Tenebras Lux (by Carlos Reygadas) and The Hunt (by Thomas Vinterberg).
